Being naturally intelligent (well brunette) has given me a healthy spiteful attitude towards blondes. It's not really that I hate them, but I am jealous of their "pulling power". How come guys go for blondes?!

Yet I was pleasantly surprised when the American Marines came to town recently and my friends and I sat down and chatted with two particularly nice dudes called Tim and Fry (we think). I was shocked when Tim latched on to me while my gorgeous friend Shuffs (real name Kirsty and a blonde) watched on. We were all talking about American culture (or lack thereof…) and I asked why all males are so obsessed with that creature known as Brittney Spears.

Tim said Brit wasn't really his style. I asked why in God's name why not, because all other testosterone laden humans seemed to lust after her. He leant over to me and whispered,

"No offense to your friend Kirsty, but I don't go for blondes."

OH GLORIOUS DAY!! I was wonderfully disproven. And it's the only time I've ever loved being wrong.

Since our chance encounter with the drunken sailors, Shuffs has decided to revert back to her natural stunning shade of brunette.
